600,000 J & J Covid Vaccines Due Here Between April And June

Ireland is expected to get 600,000 doses of the Johnson and Johnson Covid-19 vaccine between April and June.

The one-shot dose can be stored in regular fridges, which is expected to make its roll-out easier.
It was approved by the European Medicines Agency yesterday.

The use of the AstraZeneca vaccine for those who are 70 and older has been also approved for use here.

Meanwhile Norway and Denmark have temporarily suspended the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Both countries say it's over concerns about patients developing post-injection blood clots.

The manufacturer and the European Medicines Agency insists the vaccine is safe.
