A former head of the HSE says the government should consider closing nightclubs again, due to the latest Covid crisis.
They only reopened 12 days ago, but the 14-day incidence rate has risen by 18 per cent in the past two weeks.
It now stands at 695 per 100,000 people - after 3,726 cases were recorded yesterday.
Former director-general of the HSE, Tony O'Brien, says the government has hard decisions to make.
