Dara Calleary Steps Down As Fianna Fail Deputy Leader

Dara Calleary has resigned as deputy leader of Fianna Fáil this morning..

As the fallout from last week’s Oireachtas Golf Society dinner in Galway continues to dominate headlines,  the Taoiseach Micheál Martin confirmed this morning  that deputy Calleary, who stood down as Minister for Agriculture last Friday,  just weeks after being appointed to the position, has also stood down as the deputy leader of his party.
