DUP Move Could Block New Abortion Laws In Northern Ireland

Sinn Féin says the Stormont Assembly's vote against abortion laws must not be allowed derail the rollout of services across Northern Ireland.

Yesterday a majority of MLA's back a DUP motion rejecting the regulations enacted by Westminster last year.
It focused on the provision permitting terminations up to birth in the case of non-fatal foetal abnormality.
MPs are to vote later this month on the North's abortion laws, after a delay due to Covid-19.
