Experts Say Any Lifting of Restrictions Here in The Coming Months Will Be Limited

The state's chief medical officer says any lifting of pandemic restrictions in the summer will be limited.

The number of confirmed cases of covid-19 in the Republic is now over ten thousand for the first time after 992 positive tests were reported last night. 31 more people infected with coronavirus have passed away – bringing the country’s death toll to 365.
The National Public Health Emergency Team is set to meet later this morning.
Chief medical officer Tony Holohan says until a vaccine is mass-produced, there will still be social distancing.

The Health Minister says Ireland's restrictions will only ease next month if significant progress is made over the next three weeks.
The restrictions remains in place until May 5th, but Simon Harris says normal life won't resume next month.
