Farming Groups Seek More Government Support In Upcoming Budget

Farmer representatives will be calling for increased financial supports in the upcoming budget when they meet the Finance and Public Expenditure ministers later.

The Irish Farmers Association says roughly 900 million euro in assistance payments is needed next year from the EU and government.
It says the funding has never been more critical due to the increasing uncertainty around CAP reform, climate action and Brexit.
