Gemma O'Doherty Given Suspended Sentence For Threatening And Abusive Behaviour At Bray Protest

Activist and conspiracy theorist Gemma O’Doherty was given a suspended sentence at Bray District Court yesterday, after being convicted of threatening and abusive behaviour.

She was also convicted of refusing to give her name and address to a garda.

The charges were brought after Gardai were called to an incident at Kilmacanogue in August 2020, following reports of banners on the pedestrian bridge over the main Dublin-Wexford road, containing anti-facemask and anti-vaccination messages.

Miss Doherty was given a two-month suspended sentence and fined €750 for the public order offences.

According to the Irish Times she has already lodged an appeal against the conviction.
