Intensive Care Units Stretched To Near Full Capacity Because Of Coronavirus

219 people with Covid-19 were in public hospital intensive care units last night, the highest number since the pandemic began.

The figure does not include any patients with the disease being treated in private hospitals.
Last night, there were 25 adult ICU beds free around the country, while 10 hospitals nationwide had no capacity.
There were 1,930 people with Covid-19 in public hospitals last night. 132 patients were on ventilators.
