Latest Figures On 14 Day Covid-19 Incidence Rate, Ranks Greystones Worst In Wicklow

The country's estimated 14-day incidence rate of Covid-19 has fallen for a third day in a row.

It now stands at 292 after a further 866 new cases of the virus were confirmed last night - while six more deaths were reported to the Department of Health.

The local electoral area of Greystones has the highest Covid-19 14-day incidence rate in the county at 243 per 100,000, with 64 cases identified in the last two weeks. Arklow recorded 44 cases during the same period, with 42 in the Baltinglass electoral area. 27 cases were identified in the Bray west constituency, with a further 27 cases in Bray east.

With 26 cases recorded in the Wicklow local electoral area, it has the lowest 14 day incidence rate of 92.1 per 100,000

Ballyjamesduff in county Cavan remains the local electoral area with the highest incidence rate in the country at 1,484 per 100,000


A number of Local Electoral Areas have 14-day incidence rates of more than 700, including Gorey in Wexford, Maynooth in Kildare and Conamara South in Galway.
