Festival and live event promoters hope last night's Tom Jones concert in Belfast can act as a blueprint to get similar gigs going in the Republic again.
5,000 people attended the gig at Custom House Square, with everyone needing to test negative for COVID-19 or be fully vaccinated.
The government here is now being called on to provide a roadmap to allow concerts to resume - and not to wait until the end of August.
