An independent conciliator has been appointed to resolve the impasse between the developer at Greystones Community National School and the Department of Education.
Minister Simon Harris was advised by the Minister for Education last night that it’s hoped a resolution can be reached as soon as possible. The building was completed earlier this year and received a certificate of compliance from the council in early July, but later that month the Department of Education told the company that a test carried out by an independent body, had found part of a safety system had failed to meet required standards
The new premises will provide interim accommodation for Greystones Community College, and permanent facilities for the newly established Greystones Community National School.
