Power Cuts Hit Wickow As Storm Barra Takes Hold.

33,000 thousand homes and businesses are without power this morning, as Storm Barra hits the Atlantic coast.

It caused the River Lee in Cork City to burst its banks earlier, however waters are receding, while a gust of 113km per hour was recorded off the county's west coast.Cork and Kerry are under a Status Red Wind Warning until 9pm, while a red alert will be in place from this afternoon in Clare.
A Status Orange Wind Warning's also in effect for  Wickow with Areas such as Tinahely Arklow and Ashford experiencing Power outages.
