Projects In Rural Dublin To Benefit From Funding Boost

11 projects in rural Dublin are set to benefit from €1.14 million in new funding.

The Dublin Rural LEADER Local Action Group has approved the investments in areas of enterprise, job creation, social inclusion and environment.

Community centres, walkways and car parks are all set to benefit from the funding.

A process will also begin on the creation of a dedicated Roma Centre in Balbriggan.

While there are calls for a balanced recovery across the entire county of Dublin.

An economic investment report by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Chamber wants jobs and houses allocated to areas outside of the city.

It is in response to the governments National Development Plan.

Chief Executive of South Dublin Chamber, Peter Byrne says in some cases their area is forgotten about.
