Still No Resolution In Delay To Open New Greystones School

The five TDs in Wicklow have held a meeting with senior officials within the Department of Education , as efforts continue aimed at resolving the delay in signing off on the new  Greystones Community National School and Greystones Community College.

The conciliation process between the builder and Department of Education about issues at the new national school building is ongoing.

The T.D.’s were told that last week, planning permission was sought for six additional classrooms on the Rugby Club site, primarily to be used as specialist rooms for the Community College.

Management at Eire Og GAA club have also been contacted with a view to use part of their ground for further temporary classrooms at the Community College, currently located in prefabs at the local tennis club.
