Still No Resolution In Plans For Leaving Cert 2021

The country's largest secondary teachers union has been invited to a fresh round of talks to resolve a row over plans for the Leaving Cert.

The ASTI pulled out of discussions last night, and criticised a proposal to rely heavily on a calculated grades system as "not viable".
The Department of Education says it was "taken aback" and disappointed at the union's decision.
