Donegal Moves To Level 3 Covid Restrictions

The acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn has expressed concern at the increasing levels of Covid-19 in the county in recent days.

With the 14 day incident rate in Donegal passing 122 today NPHET made a strong recommendation to government to move the county to level three restrictions.

Waterford and Louth will both escape any further restrictions.

It's understood wet pubs will be allowed to stay open but can only serve people outside.

Cabinet wasn't due to make a decision until next Tuesday, but the sharp spike in cases meant an emergency meeting was convened this afternoon.
