Pieta Sees Huge Increase In Calls Since Pandemic First Hit

The number of calls to a suicide-prevention charity has doubled since the Covid-19 pandemic began.

Over 10,000 calls have been made to Pieta since March, directly relating to suicide, self-harm and suicide bereavement.
The charity has released the figures on World Suicide Prevention Day, which takes place today.
