This week Aine Lawless Coastal Programmes Officer at An Taisce joins us to talk about the' Big Beach Clean' - the world's biggest clean up scheduled to take place from Sept 15th to 17th.
This annual call to action invites communities and volunteers to come together and help rid our beaches of litter after the summer season. We find out why taking part is a vital opportunity to engage in a worldwide citizens science project not only helping to raise awareness about the issue of marine litter but also, through data collection, to help shape future policies and campaigns towards creating a cleaner and healthier environment for all.
