"Czechia: Hidden Gems Discovered"
The Sunday Show
Sunday, 15 June 2025 - 43 minutes
On this week's show, we set off to discover some of Czechia's hidden treasures. Outside of Prague, I visited the charming village of Nelahozeves, home to the great composer Antonín Dvořák and its brand new museum celebrating his life and music. Nearby, I explored the remarkable Lobkowicz Castle, where history and nobility intertwine in stunning surroundings. Back in Prague, I wandered through the hip district of Letná, known for its vibrant cafés, art galleries, and sweeping city views, before stepping inside Prague’s first true luxury hotel — the beautifully restored Almanac X Alcron Hotel, where 1930s glamour meets modern elegance. And of course, no visit would be complete without the magnificent Klementinum, with its world-famous Baroque library and astronomical clock — a true feast for the senses.
